Few turbo questions.

I have an 03 OZ turboed, I have the TSI kit. I right now have the non adjustable wastegate, its set up at 5lbs of boost. I want to run 7, i heard good things about the tial wastegate. I was wondering if that would work and what kind i would need. 38mm?

Also recently in first gear and sometimes in second, when im at about 4000 rpms on top of my turbo spooling i hear a really loud squeeking like something is wrong with my BOV, or something is leaking. Its like a loud *** annoying squeek that will stay in pitch until i get on it more or let off the gas. So my question is what could that be? Spring in BOV going bad? or something else?

As far as oil goes.. i heard RRM suggesting 20-50 non synthetic. Yes or no?

If i am planning to run more boost will i need bigger injectors? im running a 255 walbro and the FMU the kit came with im not exactly sure what it is =( but yea.. i think that just about clears up the questions i had. Thanks in advance!

Ok you cant run a Tial because its external and your turbo, if it is TSi, is internal. There is a blank on the side of the TSi manifold in the shape of a wastegate flange that could be tapped and milled out for an external maybe.

You can adjust your wastegate as is. Manual boost controller goes on the vaccuum feed for the wastegate and the farther you crank it down the higher the boost. FMU that comes with it is 14:1 I wouldn't crank the boost without a A/F gauge and an EGT

Yea for sure. Im planning on getting a EGT and A/F really soon, before i do any work. Hmm ill take pics of it tomorrow but on the back side of the turbo there is a little copper looking metal box thing that i thought was the wastegate. So that is internal?

you would also have to weld the wastegate shut on your turbo

do you have any sort of tuning done? wouldn't up the boost to much if you don't...

Well, what do you mean by tuning? Im still trying to learn everything so dont flame me for not knowing 100% thats why im here I obviously cant mess with my stock ECU so are you talking about like an AFC or something?i wouldnt be running more than 7 so i figure i wont need much tuning besides maybe bigger injectors or a diff FMU.

All you see is the actuator, that bronze can with a stick coming out of it. When it see vaccuum it stays closed. When it see's boost above 5psi it pushes open the flapper inside the exhaust housing. Nothing wrong with an internal WG. No need for a dump tube then.

The boost controller adjusts what the actuator see's as boost. When the controller is wide open the actuator see's full boost (5psi) as you close the controller it cuts down the air supply and the turbo has to produce higher boost to make the actuator see 5psi and open. Basically you are fooling it into staying closed.
