rrm turbo help

Ok im picking up my rrm turbo kit shortly and i was wondering how i hook it up to the manifold. ive heard you can use the stock manifold or the rrm header but how would you do this? every other kit ive seen comes with a custom manifold. would this mean that you would have to weld it on to the factory one? just wondering cause i just picked up the car 2 days ago and i would like to keep my factory parts.

when u get the kit ull understand about the uppipe and down pipe. basically one hooks to ur turbo and goes down to ur downpipe. the other goe from the trubo to ur stock manifold. i didnt get it either at first cuz i know nuttin about cars. oh and dun forget to break in ur turbo for 500 miles.

There will be cutting and welding defenitely.. Thats is if you are using your stock header/exhaust manifold.. But if you buy the RRM headers, i think it has an inlet for the turbo, so its bolt-on.. Tho, i really never saw the RRM headers.. So, just ask them when you get there.. Remember, our Lancers are not turbocharged stock.. So you need to weld, in order to put a turbo..

well i had probs because i didnt know what i wa doing. but if your ok with the engine then it should be very easy. ask boeturbolancer or call rrm. they will help you out. but after it was done the only prob i had was oil leaking cuz i had a bad tap. prob 8-9 hours doing things carefully and slowly.

RRM's setup uses a return pipe system which replaces your stock downpipe. Return pipe bolts to manifold/converter assembly, turbo bolts to that, new downpipe goes routes to exhaust.
