How important is the heat wrap on rrm kit?

I removed the heat wrap from the j pipe setup on my RRM turbo kit.

I want to know, how necessary is the wrap to the reliability and temps for the kit?

Any help would be helpful.

It def helps with the AC compressor but in terms of the turbo kit itself its not really nessary for turbo temps.

I took mine off because it looked horrible and all freyed. I am thinking of ordering black DEI exhaust wrap cuz i want it to look hawt!

Though I am not sure how well exhaust wrap reduces temps. It seems a hotly debated topic.

It doesn't reduce temps. It removes direct heat sources. Under hood temps will still be the same but there will be less direct radiant heat. Its basically a heat shield.

Doesnt make too big a difference with "ceramic" coating. Jet coating works well but its very expensive. I think I will reapply the heat wrap.
