Lightbulb TURBOs

Who here honestly all ready has this kit on there car? I am basically just wondering if buying a turbo for my lancer is even worth it. This kit cost almost 3 grand, and that not including all the other upgrades needed to hit the high 13's any way. Whats you guys in put????

Not another... "Are you happy".... question! Well seems like the opinions are positive here... i mean if you think about it 3G's for a 70hp gain that is reliable and fun as hell. Even after spending about half that you'll only get around 20hp... I'd say it is well worth the cost and the best damn money i've ever spent. I kissed every bill goodbye then held on tight as my ride became faster than i'd ever imagined. TURBO=

All i am saying is, I am buys the turbo for sure... But this car can barly hang with a BONE stock NEON(srt-4) after the turbo is installed. But hell, while boosting being slammed into the seat, hears the whistle of the tight *** BOV, that **** puts you in heaven

Barely hang with stock SRT-4 huh... i've seen the lancer on 8psi get a 14.6 and that was with a 2.4 60' time which sucks. Granted this lancer had no lsd, stock tires, a gutted header instead of actual performance header, test pipe and exhaust... but still a 14.6! I've see stock SRT-4's pull 14.3s with 1.8 60' times(they have lsd and better tires! On the roll a turbo'd lancer will chew up an stock SRT-4. It can be made to beat a stock evo... i know this personally. Give the car a little credit... while it may take some $$$ to do it the car can be quite suprising. Especially with the ecu upgrades available now. I'm not knocking anything your saying about $$$ but this car CAN BE an car. Enjoy your turbo when you get it you will be smilling everyday!!

The thing with these cars is that there sleepers if there not EVO's. people se them and think your going to run a mid to high 16. Especially if you are on the hiway and drop a gear next to a mustang and make him feel stupid that he got beat by a 4banger

As for a bone stock doing 14.03 i'd believe that as its all about the driver... i've seen them do 14.3 w/1.8 60'... if they got that to a 1.6 they should be able to get that 14.03! Not many will get that though. That beeing said its all about the launch... on a roll is a different ball game. I ran a 13.8 with 1.8 60' that run should have been mid 13's with a 1.6 60'. Now i'm running even better thanks to RRM ecu. Low 13's are not going to be a problem. On the street i'd eat a stock srt-4 up. Not saying an SRT-4 isn't a serious car because it is and it has my respect... but the lancer can be it's all about time and $$$. I know there is no explaining the feeling i get pulling the people i do. To them i'm a crappy family car. They never know what hit em!!

OK. I totally see what you guys are saying. All my argument is, is that for 4 grand more you can go get a stock car and run it 14.3's, or spend like 5 or 6 grand making your lancer barly hanging with that stock car. you guys get what i am saying. No doubt about ti, i am getting my Lancer Turbo 'ed. just wasnt for sure if it was worth it, but i think it is, feel the power, kill some people.
