To get rid of your maf and vent the bov to atmosphere you have to run a full engine management system. But the maf isn't a restricting factor in our car even turboed, so you wouldn't need to worry about it.

On my car I attempted to remove the restrictor plate and tune with my SAFC Neo. I have stock fuel system etc. My settings for fuel normally are +5% at idle all of the way to -20% at WOT for a good AFR. When I removed the restrictor plate the car wanted to die like crazy. We maxed out the AFC at +50% for fuel and I was STILL get 18:1 AFR's. I don't think it is TOO restrictive but there is definitely some power to be gained. If I even get my hands on larger injectors I might try to do it again.

Well who did stage 2 from rrm? dont they remove the ristrictor plate? or do they just use a different restrictor plate??? they compensate with a piggyback only so it must be possible to stabalize it with another pigy.

as far as vta only megasquirt has a was around it i think. rcirculate is better anyways.

Yeah I believe any EMS will do it. The RRM stage 2 turbo allows you to remove the restrictor plate with no problems, my friend has it but didn't remove the plate and its fine. Trust me, it would be more expensive and a pita to remove it without it being a restrictor already. Just leave it until you have maxed out your motor.
