internal wastegate question?

Ive never had an internal wastegate, but can you clock the turbo with one? The way each one of these 16g turbos is sitting on the pics, it wont work in my set up at all? So I dont want to buy it yet?

Stick with an external wastegate. They are better for tuning purposes and function better than an internal wastegate IMO.

Most, if not all, turbos can be clocked.

ok it just looks like the internal wastegate is bolted to the cold side of the turbo also and to turn that you would move that actuator bar and wouldnt that screw up the opening and shutting of the wastegate?

The wastegate and actuator will stay in the current position it is now. It will utilize the new bolt holes that will align when the turbo gets clocked to its new position and the bolts go back in.

The amount of bolt holes depend on the turbo. I had to clock my new T3 turbo before installing it this week. There were multiple positions to clock it to. Every turbo is different.

Before I had a 16G6 kit like everyone else. Now I've got a T3 super 60. I wouldn't give my new setup up for the world. The spool is insanely fast. Full boost before 2700rpm. Pulls very, very hard.

The 16G6 is from the Evo VIII. Compared to that turbo, my new one spools pretty much instantly at 9psi and pulls harder than my 16G6 ever did at 11-12psi. It is a Garrett T3 super 60. The Turbonetics should be relatively the same specs. I paid $550 for it new from the fab shop that did my manifold and new piping. Read about it here:
