RRM Turbo in Progress
The stuff in a box is what everyone wants cause thats all you can have right now. Tuning is critical though. Installed turbo by people who know and have done it to a LANCER is priceless. Believe the RPW stuff is good but it is not idiot proof and it is not cheap! BONI is doing the best thing for the money, peace of mind, and power. I have all the confidence in the world in RRM guys. They have turboed, or tuned 100s of turbo cars! Yes I am on their jock Pimpson cause because they deserve it!!
Be careful with all this rated to a million h.p. turbo. Of course they are rated higher but that is when they are spun hard, like 20 psi. You will never spin a T-28 that high on an N.A. based Lancer motor. It is just a sales ploy by vendors.

you idiot. for stage-1, look at the difference between the kits. you get way more from RRM then you do RPW.
get your stage-3, pay 6 g's then another 1g to get it installed, we can race but you will got smoked. dont trip.

For the love of god people. Can't we just wait until both kits are more commonplace and fully tested before we say who is going to smoke who? I like a good challenge and all, but c'mon. Without real factual information, all that is being thrown around are rumors and promises.
Now once we get all these numbers, price, horesepower, ease of use, build quality, ect., I think it would be good to stage a comparison. Until both kits are used by a few different members, all we have to base your arguments on are sales hypes and promises.
I was just hoping you could stop fighting amongst yourselves until you've determined that the fight was worth having.
There, I've said my piece. I'll keep to myself now.

I'll get the stage 1 with the t-28, install it myself, and house ya
just kidding. but that is my plans. upgraded turbo with custom install. I'll save money over what you spend..p.s. if someone got the stage 3 turbo they'd kill you. a t-28 at 15 psi and a motec running it is out of your league. son

IMO
I think you guys are getting ahead of yourselves.
Inorder to run above 7 psi safely accorgind to RPW you would have to strengthen the internals of the engine. The stage 1 turbos of both companies are probably pretty similar in power. If you want to go higher in each then a word to the wise, spend some money to protect your engine investment or no body's turbo will be worth anything because you won't have a working engine.
All I'm saying is enjoy your turbo safely please. I don't want to hear any horror stories in the near future.

WOW, want to join the debate team. Maybe I can clear a few things up. First off don't get sucked in by numbers. Like computers, 500 mhz better than 400. Right? Right. Turbo kit is more than just numbers. It is a compatibility issue. Lancer N.A. motor does not have piston oilers. It cannot safely handle extreme psi without major internal mods. You will kill your **** fast. A good kit should emphasize this. All the little gadgets that are needed for high boost are $$ too. Parts that you have to make for some of the kits available right now seem to include a lot of stuff, but leaves the difficult pieces and expects to you to make them. Piping is not easy. I have one guy working eight hours a days for five days just to make piping! He has every tool at his disposal too. I cannot in good conscience sell a kit yet because it is not fair to make customer do R&D for me. Plus I know what is envolved in setting everything up. We do not want to sell you guys rope to hang yourself. We offer installs right now that utilize the best and most compatible stuff we can find. We would like to sell a Step One kit that is a solid foundation for the Lancer TuRBO. After that, you guys with extra $ can expand the kit with fuel management and cooling aids like big radiator and oil cooler. This will allow for safe yet powerful combination. (Note I wrote safe first.) Call us for more details but just be careful what you wish for. We have been doing turbo cars for years. We don't just sell parts!!

Well well
What's up with the yellow lancer/turbo theme
I must say though that this set-up looks a little cleaner than the other turbo pic thread. But it's all about the pudding. How does it taste?

Hose
Yes, good color matching with the hose but I was referring to the OZ's with turbos that are on this board. They are both Yellow.
coincidence? I just checked out the other post and I see that they are doing the turbo themselves. I can't wait to hear the results from both of these projects.

WOW. That is clean. Gotta say you guys rule! I see you used greddy bov and all the piping is neat and clean. Quite different from other install showed on this forum. Pro job. You guys gotta make a kit soon, even one without intercooler would be great!!
