Tonight the guy's from Race Tech will be at my car and we are gonna prime everything and start it up depending on what time that happens I hope they can tune it as well im told it takes 2 hours for tuning on there system so we will have to just wait and see. I have had alot of problems with this build it seems everything has had to be custom fitted in some way or another also had to go from a ****ty glowshift wideband to a plx im told they are ALOT better anyways i duno if any of you guys are still interested in my build ut i will update this forum as often as i can

Keep in mind, at our altitude, you'll be limited in how much boost you can run. The turbo has to spin faster to achieve the same boost pressure because of how thin our air is. What fuel are you tuning it for, 91 or 94?

Today is just not gonna be the day. The guys from race tech had some problems with the standalone plus i forgot to pick up a allen head bolt they needed and a rad hose haha and non of them work the weekends so i have to wait till monday this sucks ( I need booST!!!!) The techs from Race Tech have been really helpful they build rally race cars from the ground up all custom so they know alot of the mathematics being turboing a N A and they built me a custom wastegate it starts to open at 3psi and is fully open'd at 10 we have also set the boost cut on the computer to 8psi this will be an everyday car for me for the next couple months and i dont wanna blow it up so i think runing 6psi will be fine

How would you even build and hold boost with that kind of wastegate?

nothing like adding in lag for no reason. If you use proper boost control, you would reduce lag, not increase it

I dont know why it would add lag the waste gate could not be set any better than what it is it starts opening at 3-4 psi and is fully opened at 10 psi and it is full adjustable i will put up pic's soon i can set the wastegate to open 3psi 10 for my4g94 that is great i would love to see someone run over 10psi on a everyday driven lancer the engines cant handle anything over 8psi for daily driving ive already blow 2 engines up i know what they can handle BUT the engines i blew up werent turboed they were supercharged with that stupid team ripp's supercharger and i never had my standalone either but now i'm hope'n things will be different and i want this motor to last haha

If it starts to open at 3 PSI, you're getting rid of exhaust gas that helps to spin the turbo, thus increasing the time it takes to spin.

I ran 12psi on my 16G6 kit for a full year and I've been running 10psi on my T3 super 60 kit for the past year now. I'm making about 220-230whp and have had ZERO problems. Your statement is moot, as the amount of boost a 4G94 can successfully handle depends solely on a proper tune.

I wouldn't go that far, it's only within reason. Even with the best tune in the world, the 4G94 won't handle 18 PSI from a 16G.

i can set the waste gate to open at 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 psi i never said i was gonna keep it at 3 i will be runing 6psi and i will see how that works out i ran 10psi onmy other engine and it lasted about a month then i broke a rod (it was tuned i had a wideband never leand out just driving one day shifted from 1st to 2nd then boom that engine had 60,000 km on it so i know first hand they cant handle 10psi everyday if some of you guys are runing 10 or psi and have no problems great i hope everyting continues to work out for you, but me im sick of swaping engines into this car lolso this time around i went with the full standaone and lower boost (I.E 6psi
