Problems Diagnosing my turbo Lancer
Ok guys I started my turbo build around January and im coming up with this major problem for a week or so now so ill try to explain the best way I canSo im trying to put a street tune on my car well at a certain RPM I lose Vacumme Pressure ill be at lets say -5 before boost an it will shut down on me an go back to -21 no matter how far i press on the gas and does the same thing on idle when I popped my hood I would pull on the throttle cable and my couplers would cave in like it doesnt have any air its sucking but no air in the piping im figureing it would do the same thing while im driving would this be cause by a vacume leak? Because if so I have new gaskgets for the Intake manifol because I recently i change it an if you want me to post a Video i will do also to show anyone who can probrably help with this situation
Post a video, give a good shot of your set up. You confused me with your description of your problem. A vacuum leak would not do what your describing. Only thing I can think of is your turbo is not spooling at all or you have an intercooler pipe totally not hooked up.
If your couplers are caving in when the throttle opens, what does your air filter look like? Also, what kind of couplers are you using to be able to see them cave in? Are they reinforced silicone?
sounds like cheap silicone intake couplers. If they are caving in, the engine is trying to pull in more air than running into the pipes.
Check your ic connections and turbo for massive amounts of play
