what turbo what psi?
Moron, If you've read anything I've posted you'd see I didn't ask anyone for advice or opinions...now focus, it's a T3 45 trim....again, if you could read you'd see that there are complications you're not aware of, and the 16g regardless of bigger ratios will spool faster than, LET ME MAKE THIS CLEAR, the actual T3 TURBO THAT IS ON MY CAR, not all t3 45 trim turboes....DO YOU UNDERSTAND OR SHOULD I RETYPE IT AGAIN? Let me explain that 7psi is not reached at 4k rpm, no, 7psi is reached fast around 2700-3k and full power doesn't kick in or is felt until 3700-4k rpm, ok, now if you're "so smart" you'll figure the rest of the situation out in your head. I'm perfectly well aware or what you people are trying to convey to me, I know that in a regular circumstance a 45 trim with the smaller a/r like I have would in fact spool faster than a 16g w/ a bigger a/r...however you don't know the circumstance of MY turbo, let me repeat again MY TURBO, and so I'd refrain from any more comments...but you see the point is, I DIDN'T ASK FOR YOUR OPINIONS OR ADVICE SO JUST ANSWER THE QUESTION OR STFU....If I decide to take apart my set up and redo hold backs then I shall do so when I have something to modify it with, ie) 16g turbo...otherwise I don't care enough to mess w/ this car. How people responded? I started off friendly with a simple question, again A SIMPLE QUESTION, and received useless opinionated bs, so stupid people like you begun this, not me. Congrats you have a turbo fwd lancer!! whoo hoo, I do too, and it's just a car, and the least favorite of all mine, and the least likely to become anything great along w/ all other lancers.... I also turboed it myself w/out the help of useless rrm and their kits, and the only reason I had the piggy was because it came for free w/ my hood which I bought off another guy. So I utilized it for a while.
btw... typically turbine ratios will define spool up efficiency, right, but that's not always the determining factor, you can have better ceramic wheels that are lighter or ball bearings that reduce friction and therefore can have a larger turbo in some applications spool faster than a smaller per say...and you keep referring to my turbo as a 45 trim, if I didn't happen to mention the ratios of my t3 and just said 45 trim you would still probably be arguing the size issue, because you haven't mentioned a/r's at all...hmm, and trim doesn't necessarily define turbo housing sizes as it is just a variance between the ratios....
I'm sick of idiots like this....really go do something useful, people don't sign on here to hear your useless bs and I DON'T CARE TO EITHER, thanks
If anyone wants to ACTUALLY answer the question I asked very simply from the beginning, please do so, if not, close this thread

Such an attitude. Your ? has already been answered. You trying to push more psi with that turbo will blow your motor due to to much torque and if that doesnt get you, the cyl pressure will. You will be making well in excess of 260wtq which is far more than those running 230+ whp on a 16g or similar sized turbo.
BTW, I like how you call me a moron when your the one that posted this
Should i quote that again???
I guess you can see where i got my info from, your post! You talk all this **** and you are the one posting nonsense and posting with your chest all puffed out. Everyone that has posted has posted in your best interest. Now tell me again how a larger 40ish lb/min turbo is going to spool faster than a 24lb/min turbo again with both being journal bearing with old wheel designs?
If you want more from your setup, you need to have the engine to do it or be ready to drop a new one into it. You sound like you want to push it, then do it, dont let people that are giving exp from what they have lived through and/or seen stop you. Just be prepared for what MAY happen. I have a vast knowledge of turbos and would be happy to help you if you need it, but acting like everyone is out to bring you down isnt a good way to get help.

In fact, I'm done...signing off and not signing back on, no one here provides the info ASK FOR regardless of simplicity, and I can't be like all you select few "cool" and brilliant forum guys, I have stuff to do....and not like your jobs at walmart either
sorry..meant target...or is it jiffy lube? Haha ,Idk
So write what you may, I won't be reading it. Congrats fwd lancer group, you've successfully drove another member off your forum, good luck w/ those oh so clever and witty, opinionated, attitudes in life, you've only got a few ppl left to talk **** too and then you guys can just have the forum to yourselves, talk to each other all day on your state mandated lunch breaks and praise yourselves for being the coolest middle aged men in base model lancers whoo hooo... peace

I guess having 2 businesses and working for the family for 3 doesnt make me cool enough to talk to a premed kid. Even though im only 27 with a bach deg.... Plus i dont even own a lancer anymore, thus the TT avatar.
I still dont get what he wanted. He claims to be this smart kid and the entire first post is just one long run on sentence, not one question mark. Plus if he was smart, he would just look up peoples posted dynos and see what most are all making which is about 180-220 depending on turbo, psi, and dyno used. Not a HUGE variance to worry about 10whp when he already makes a good amount of tq. Plus kind of an idiot posting one thing and then starting **** because people respond to what he posted.

it just makes his head feel big when he tells people that. He thinks he knows small little parts of a turbo and knows how they work. What he doesnt know is how to make a proper setup and match a turbo to a particular need, let along know what his is. So much more to turbocharging than just slapping parts on the car and hope it runs right.
When the OT started this thread I almost had a hunch it was going to go south. That pretty explains why my first post was what it was. It just baffles me to no end how people can be so irrational over something so simple.
Everyone on this forum has their own unique knowledge and experiences with their Lancers and with modding, in general. Everyone has something to bring to the table - whether it be tuning, turbo, built engines or otherwise. There isn't an answer I can't find by browsing through the abundance of information on our forums and I wouldn't have it any other way.

senate, you're an idiot....another typical "I gotta be cool on a forum, so I'll be a smart a**" Brilliant.....If your brain could process better, you'd realize the question implied in the statement was; What is everyone's turbo/psi/and mods...simple as that, I will take what is provided and form my own conclusions, apparently that is too much for you....I realize that to turn up boost a significant amount will require forged internals and such...however, I'm not asking for a lecture. I just want to figure who is running what stock or not. I'm also not asking for a moron to provide an unintelligent answer such as, turn it up 1 then see if it pops....really? Your parents must be proud....anyhow, let me rephrase, for the simpler people which I didn't know I'd be dealing with. Everyone w/ a turbo lancer, please inform me what turbo/psi/and mods you're running and if you know or roughly know, your numbers. It would be very much appreciated to those who are decent and respectful, and all others who feel the need to follow in this senate guys footsteps, please refrain, because I don't want to hear more useless garbage, thanks.
dude... really...... first of all look at how many post you have and look how long senate has been here... hes knows his ****.. so sit back stop *****ing and listen and learn
I think it was 7lbs with no tune and an intercooler
9 lbs with the RRM piggyback and injectors
10 lbs tuned with the GReddy e-manage
max of 11 lbs if conditions are right.
Still on stock internals
Hope this helps
