Unhappy turbo manifold dilemma

I have heard from dsm'ers in my area that the 2g turbo manifold off an eclipse (95-98) will fit on the lancer motor (4g64) upside down with the turbo sitting on top. Is there any truth to this???? If not, how easy will it be for me to just buy a junkyard lancer manifold and have a the manifold cut so a t28 flange can be welded in place to make a custom turbo kit. HELP ME!!!!!

Either ignorant or completely stupid. The Lancer motor is a 4G94, the current Eclipse/Galant/Outlander motor is a 4G64 and there is a possibility it will fit one of those (those being the 'lipse/Galant/Outlander) but the orientation is wrong (for a DSM motor) if I remember.

correct.. a mirage will fit.. but the only manifold from a mirage will fit the the 4g93T mani, any way u look at it your going to have to have a custom mani made... or u find a 4g93t but... good luck on that.

No. RPW's manifold (I'm 99% sure) is the same as their 4g93 manifold. Keep in mind that we have the same head. The difference is the length of the downpipe. The 4g94 block is slightly taller than the 4g93. JV, if I remember correctly your kit is a 4g93 kit made to fit the 4g94 by Andy.

Yep, and what was made to fit is the downpipe.

rofl.. fitment it no issue.. all you have to do is heat up the downpipe and flaten out where it starts to curve back to clear the frame not much of a fitment issue there is it?

If it doesn't fit as is, sounds like an issue to me. Not to mention flattening the downpipe compromises the inner diameter of the exhaust piping. I'd rather just weld in a small extension or get a custom one made. Bending a 2.5" OD downpipe could effectively give you less flow than a 2.25" OD or (depending upon how bad the bend is) possibly even smaller.

RPW Turbo Kits

We have been keeping ourselves quiet on the turbo front but for the last six months RPW has been doing a lot of new development on the turbo kits for the lancer vehicles.

We have been redesigning the turbo and manifold to sort out some clearance issues which now are all gone

Making a new dump pipe to clear underneath the sump pan

Ensuring better qaulity control and looking to reduce prices

And generally improving supply and qaulity of the product.

We will be entering the market again in Febuary with a large promotion on all lancer stuff including especially the turbo kits, ralliart lancer headers, strut braces and a host of lancer gear so keep your eye out for it

We will do some more posting on this later along with news of a lancer RPW has been helping build in teh states to get the first 10 sec lancer down the quarter mile.

Again more on this later.

That is news to me on the 4G63 front.

We have our new stocks arriving in the next two weeks so we will be in a position to provide manifolds, down pipes, complete turbo kits (Minus intercooler) etc by the end of March

new manifolds are due in next week and I can throw (NOt literally) some new dump pipes together within the space of two weeks after that.

Turbo kits can be packaged and ready to go a week after that if people want them.
