Fix my Fuel Cut!!!!

Who knows how to tune an AFC well, Its so hard to configure it correctly, Different points in every gear my fuel will cut out... even with pressure turned up and afc settings setup to high throttle only turns on at 50% and i have the high throttle settings almost maxed out at 35%-40% still getting mad fuel cut... who has an afc with turbo... give me some of your settings just for a guidline, and also what is your decel air set to i have ne1 set to 10 and ne2 set to 7.2... I just need a baseline to work off of because nomatter what I do they still dont help.

Thanks!!

so its going lean right? no matter how high you turn up the afc? ive got a turbo with afc and mine goes lean at a couple pounds of boost no matter what afc setting and with a adjustable fuel pressure regulator too, rrm thinks its a bad fuel pump so im replacing that soon here

AFC's don't work on the lancer. People keep trying and saying they will but they won't. ECU doesn't see the positive numbers so AFC will only take out the fuel not add. Although RRM has said this many times people keep trying not knowing that the ecu is setup for NA not Turbo thus the AFC is not designed for its parameters. Why do you think RRM doesn't sell them?? Why do you think they sell the piggy backs? AFC's are great when dealing with an ecu that is compatable. Sell the AFC and get the piggy back. Piggy back is more accurately tuned anyway for not much more than most AFC's.

JV u have 2 problems...

1. your blow off valve isnt recirculated into your intake tube so your car is running like ****.(I know because I have changed mine around to not re-circulate and it runs like terrible but sounds cool-loud blow off-but tries to stall on me and has ALOT less low-end torque/hp)

2. afc doesnt work. at all. it is 100% useless. all these people talk about they get them to work but it is basically a bunch of bull****. it never has worked and never will work. so get the piggy back from road/race or the aem ems or some other fuel management system. i wanted to get the afc also but rob explained to my dumb *** how it dont work. so im just passing the info

Just to help confirm for people who are still think you can add fuel on a turbo application with an SAFC after all the discussion in here, no it doesn't work if you are lean under boost. Independently tested by myself and a few other people who dont know each other and dont work for RRM. All you can do with it is subtract through out the RPM range as stated before or it does add at 1000 so you can fix your idle a little.

the way around that is a vortech fmu or larger injectors. i don't think the turbo piggy back will help since the piggyback is for the rrm kit and they supply the fmu in their kit.
