Lancer GT-A (Philippines)

Is it true that the chassis in US lancers are different from the ones sold here? Everybody here is using SRIs and I really want to use a CAI but the mechanic I talked to right here said that i can't because the tubes of a CAI would go through different holes that are not present in the local lancer.

He also said that this part here should have a hole in order for the CAI to be installed (below)

Your car should have the whole there. If you can get closer with the camera and take another picture that would help. The whole is very tight. If you can take a picture facing straight down you should see whole leading towards the CVT oil cooler.
