Question 2012 Lancer ES, turbo question

Hi guys i am looking to peice together a turbo setup for my stock 2012 lancer ES. Im relatively unexperienced when it comes to turbos so i thought i could ask some questions.

What im looking to do is run a t3 turbo at about 8-9 psi.

Heres some of the parts im looking at,

http://www.turboneticsinc.com/store/...product_id=535

http://www.turboneticsinc.com/store/...product_id=105

http://www.turboneticsinc.com/store/...product_id=405

I Know ill need boost, oil pressure, and EGT gauges (possibly an a/r guage to)
ill also need a BOV,

I just want to know If i should invest in an external wastegate instead of relying on the one in the turbo. and since i would like to run 8-9 psi of boost what (if any) fuel system upgrades i should make (injectors, fuel pump, etc.).

Thats all that comes to mind right now. I would really appreciate it if you guys could look at my list and make sure im not missing anything and also answer my questions. Feel free to recommend other parts because, as i said im not the most experienced. I just dont want to be "that guy" that blows his engine over something stupid.

-Thanks

You're going to need a laundry list of parts to add to those 3. You will need custom made IC piping to fit to that intercooler as well. It's going to be pricey. You will probably need bigger injectors as well, I would recommend getting stock Ralliart or Evo injectors...those will be able to handle the fuel you are talking about without a problem.

If you are deadset on that turbo and that IC etc...you're going to spend at least another 2 grand in parts alone. You'll need a custom made exhaust manifold and downpipe. It may be better to go the route of getting a stock turbo and parts from an X owner or RA owner. You can obtain all the parts for less than the turbo you want most likely. Just my .02

It would be way cheaper and easier to buy a second hand ralliart turbo and manifold and just run wastegate pressure.

I know of a guy who went all out to do this. Did his research, got the best tuner.

It blew up immediately after it was completed.

Save for a ralliart or evo. You probably have the plastic (black) head cover being a 2012. That will melt.

Im in the same boat as you. I'm looking for a turbo kit. From what I've been told the top end cant handle any more boost than 3-4 lbs. I'm looking at purchasing a eclipse GS-T engine , rebuilding it and doing a swap. Way cheaper and if i blow it i still have my factory engine for a back up.

thanks for the feedback guys. i decided a while ago that instead of blowing all the money i had on a turbo setup and supporting mods that i would go a different direction. to date ive done some run of the mill stuff (intake, pully, exhaust, wheels, head unit, subs).... not to mention some awesome rrm stickers that add like 25hp

next mods im doing are the works ECU, and eibach sportline springs.

Ill wait till i can buy a car with a factory turbo to make life alot easier

I would personally look for a kit rather than buy it piece by piece. If you have a general knowledge then you would know which parts you need to buy. But it seems like you are learning as you go. So for someone like you I would just get a kit that's already all pieced together. That way there will be no guess work and the kit should also come with some info as to what boost levels you can run on a stock motor for example. I would not imagine you could boost it more than 5-7psi in stock form but don't quote me
