WRX has pretty much the same HP (if we're talking 100hp gain, then Lancer's 230 outdoes the WRX's 227), but much heavier. Vroom.

 

Yes. Faster than a WRX. I have driven both and I'm sure of that fact! Sold more turbo kits.2 kits left!!!

how much gain does bonis car have and how many are we gonna have? which kit does he have thats makin him faster than a wrx?

I think what the boy means is how much boost is being run to smoke a WRX. Im interested as well. I had not given any thought to the turbo kit, and was thinking just about making my car handle for the autocross. (strut tower brace, rear sway bar, eiback springs, looking into Leda full coilovers.....) But if the turbo can run with a WRX, that changes everything. The only problem is Im stuck with the slushbox automatic. What do ya think Rock, 6 pounds of boost sound fesible with an auto? Would changing the torque converter to a high stall unti make any difference, or is the weak link in the actual gearbox? Also, how much power would one expect with 6 psi? Thanks, and I plan on installing the sway bar today, it looks very nice!

 

Nile, you may not be able to keep up the same pace as Boni's car because yours is auto. Apparently Mitsubishi's auto trannies don't take well to large amounts of boost. I'm not certain what boost he's running, but you most likely won't be pushing the same amounts as he can run.

In other words: You'll be a lot quicker, but don't expect to smoke any WRX's. At least that's how I see it.

EDIT: Supposedly 6psi is ok for autos, tristar. I'm hardly an authority, but that's what I've read elsewhere on the forums.

Boni is only blowing 6 psi right now. Right BONI?

 

6 psi is what im pushing right now. After work today I installed my boost guage and the times I looked it said around 5 1/2 - 6 psi.


btw..I don't know how much I pay for insurance because my parents are paying for it while I goto school. They don't know I installed a turbo thuogh.
