Water Spray :D
this isn't a hard thing...its already been mentioned how to do it.. get some washer nozzles from a junk yard or something..they are very cheap. get a windshield washer sprayer pump and some 1/8" or 1/4" tubing (don't remember the right size) tap into your windshield washer fluid (or make your own seperate tank). wire a switch to the pump. put the nozzles on the underside of your front bumper so it sprays onto the intercooler. very simple.
install was pretty simple, just gotta mount a bottle somewhere, run a nitrous steel braided line thru the car to the front where the bar is located on the intercooler. Then you have the hook up a button to the silenoid, just a power and ground and you are ready to go.
I have only used mine a couple times to test it out. On NX site they claim 50 hp with the nitrous setup, but i really didnt notice to much besides more throttle response. I would have to set it up on a dyno and do a before and after to see if there were any significant increases. Unfortuntly, you can easily dump a bottle in no time with this setup. Alot comes out of the bar and the nitrous goes fast if you dont watch yourself. If you take a look at the bar itself there are tiny pin holes along the top and bottom and that's where the nitrous comes out.
What Boni wants though is something just to help with the cooling on the turbo and motor to help the efficency and power in warmer temps. It's been getting into the 100's around here in SoCal and you can feel it when driving the car. So some kind of water injection with a sprayer, like what the Evo's have, is something he is looking for.
Not to sure on what RRM has to say about the NX setup...you can always ask

Boni,
if you look at your stock washer fluid bottle you will see 2 areas for pumps. you can install another pump there and run some nozzles from there to the IC. Then just run some power from the batter to a switch, hook up a switch in the car and you have a manual spayer.
All you need to get is 1) new nozzles to mount in your bumper. 2) rubber hose to hook to the pump. 2) another stock washer pump 3) a switch and some wires.
if you want to cool your turbo, then add water cooling lines like Boe did or add an oil cooler.

Thanks for the info guys. Guru ur idea seems real good i didnt know u can add a pump to the existing tank so im gonna try that. just gotta goto mitsu and order one i hope they cheap ;d also how many sprayers should i put under my bumper? im thinking just 2 on each end or maybe 3 with 2 on each end and 1 in the middle.
First of all fit a larger intercooler. This will give you a cooler charge all the time (not just when the system water is on). Then I would get an IC spray system. The stuff that others have said will work. Or you could rig up and independent system off its own tank and pump (using a windscreen washer pump and a large tank with washer jests, similar to the Ford WRC teams set-up). Then I would fit water injection as this will cool the charge air and also allow you to run more boost. Don’t bother with the NX kit. It only lasts a few minutes and seams like a waist of N2O. Why spray the cooler when you could use the N2O to cool the charge air and produce more power (also helps kill lag). Just my thoughts but there you go.
Hope this helps, Chris.
PS, the Evo IC is very good and can take upto about 400bhp. Dont know if it will fit though.

unfortunatly the lancer doesnt have much room for the IC. much larger and you have to remove the front support bar.
Boni, have you made holes in your lower bumper to allow more flow to the lower part of the IC? That might help too.
If you look at the lancer washer bottle it has 2 slots for pumps. one is filled with the windsheild cleaner the other is just empty waiting (presumably for a rear washer nozzle).
I would use 2 nozzles, either get the stock windsheild sprayers or maybe a fogger like you find on a drip mist system for watering plants. finer spray means more water dropplets.

you can run washer fluid it is fine, you will just be spraying some alcohol onto your IC, not a big deal. but try to use clean water if you run water as it will leave deposits on your IC after awhile, then you will have to bust out the CLR (Calsium Lime Rust) remover that you use in your bathroom to clean the scum off the shower head hahahah
couldnt you remount your A/C rad thingy in front and in direct contact with your intercooler? (kind of like the ford lightnings setup) thatd cool it down a bit... but then you have to get it recharged i guess
Boni your intercooler isn't overheating... your crazy to think that BS!! Temps outside rise meaning less air density coming into the car so less power due to higher AFR. NOT an overheated intercooler. How do you think 1G's with sidemounts boost 20+psi in this weather. Have this post closed and hope when i see you next i don't knock you a good one for even saying such a thing.
If you just want more power, even when it's hot, then yes a sprayer will give you that but you are NOT overheating your intercooler.

Knock me a good one lol funny character u are boe, you know i dont mean it like that i just want a water spray cause its damn near 100+ outside so i can cool down my intercooler air. i aint tryin to say the intercooler is messed up man come on, this is a problem for any intercooler in 100+ weather right ?? i just wanna cool it down i know its not messing anything up but cooler air will be faster in hot weather right ??? u guys always gettin on my case im just tryin to make a damn water spray #$&*($#
