Turbo Choices for The OZ

Heya Everyone,

New to the forum and to the world of import cars. (Finally sold the 94 Camaro w/a 305) I'm drivin a 02 Lancer OZ, nice car, I like it, but like most people, would like to add some HP. I've added the magnaflow cat-back, AEM intake, short throw shifter, and will soon be putting Kamikaze headers on, but what I really wanna do is eventually Turbocharge that thing. I was reading earlier in the threads about a non-intercooled turbo, and kinda sparked my interest. I'm pretty new at working on the smaller engines, and was wondering if anyone could tell me about that non-IC kit, and just some general stuff, like what turbo to pick, and maybe what kinda $$$ I would be looking at. Thanks for any help you guys can give.

Taylor

~5g's will get you to about 230-240whp...RRM stage 2...add pistons and rods and 240+...then port your intake mani and port and polish the head...and a good 260...
Roadracemotorsports.com will have the most know kits...as all they work on in that shop are lancers...

i believe the non-icd kit puts down around 160-190...

dont get the kamikaze headers since they dont fit with rrm if oyu want to get hte rrm nonintercooled kit. youll have to get rid of the aem intake too. do a search, its your best friend, youll find the answer to all your questions and more. the rrm nonIC kit uses a t28 and costs 3K.

RRM makes the best turbo kids for our car, well at least the most used and well known. They make kits IC and non IC for both manuel and auto.
good luck boosting

search away man... RRM's kit has been out for a while and there should be plenty of posts about it...
My friend had one & had nothing but good things to say about it... He liked it soooo much he upgraded to a bigger kit & now has a boat-load of money in the thing... but the speed is unreal!!!

rrm's turbo does not come with a true turbo exhaust manifold, they just attatch the turbo to the headers if you have them or the stock exhaust manifold. the headers are 360 but you dont need them unless you are going stg2. if you jsut want stg1, then you can jsut use your stock exhaust manifold and not pay more.

Your other forced induction option is the Rippmod supercharger. Haven't heard about any problems with that. Stage 2 manual - 274hp

no you wont be able to, youll have to go back to stock or get rrm headers. you can always sell the kamikaze headers in teh private fro sale section.
