help: mystery wiring under rear deck?

First Post here... Had my OZ for a few weeks and I really like it. While looking at speaker locations, I saw these two wiring connectors in middle of rear deck....
Can anyone ID? I was thinking factory amp.... Not sure on the other one.

Damn, I got beaten to it.

It's for the third brake light. At the factory, they make every Lancer exactly the same. Then they add things for each trim level (like the OZ's sway bar, etc.). So every Lancer has hookups for the 3rd brake light, but the OZ just doesn't use it because we have a 3rd light on our wing. But you could always get an ES light and have a 4th!

i was going to say...... i dont think our system is amplified by an external amp(s). all our speakers are 4ohm i beleive. if it was a factory amplified system, like a bose system or something they would be 1 ohm speakers with external amps right next to the physcial speaker. my maxima had a system like that, and was a biatch to replace everything . i had to make custom everything for my doors because the amps are builtinto the custom looking speaker boxes, and that alows the window to go down (slightly off topic lol). these speakers run straight off the Head unit as far as i know.
