But overall, it's a good deck right? It's more the 3 pre-out that attract me, cause I've got 2 amps. 1 for the sub, and 1 for the components.

JVC is an OK deck I guess, if you're on a budget.

I had 2 Alpine and would never but one again. (Skipping...) I have a JVC now and the deck is awesome. Plays MP3s however and that's all I listen too... but have had Sony, Pioneer, and Kenwood and the JVC I have now is just as nice as any I have had...
Word of advice to all: your Head Unit (CD player, DVD player, tape deck, changer) is the most vital part of your system. Usually, when someone comes to me with less than 500 dollars for a system I tell them to spend that much on a HU, and save up for the rest. The HU is VITAL. look for 4 volt pre-outs, any features you like, but make sure you don't get low end, low end breaks, skips, sounds bad and is very unreliable.
i agree w/sassmaster. the head unit is like your receiver at home. it's the item you will use all the time & it needs to be flexible enuff to run your system. i have an Alpine cd-9825 in the 03 evo & i got it for $199. has 3 4 volt preouts & you can blackout the display for cleaner power/sound. not bad. 40 bucks more gets you cd-9827 which has a remote. On low dollar decks, Alpine & Pioneer are the only way to go.
not sure if you're interested, but i have a 3 year old Clarion Pro Audio DX-515 w/ remote, face case, & cd changer for sale. $125 shipped!

I have the Alpine CDA 9833 and anyone that thinks that a JVC is better is IMO crazy (no offense
). I used to own JVC back when I first started into car audio about 10 years ago. I really do think that they were a better brand back then, but now when I look at there new stuff, it is all the same as it was 10 years ago with a new face. The sound quality has been left that same, 10 years ago it was awesome, but compared to new hi-end decks it is simply medeocre. JVC is a good brand... Just not the Benchmark in the HU industry that is the high-end (Alpine, Kenwood Excelon, & Pioneer). Just my .02

Alright... I took all your opinions in consideration, but decided to get it anyway. I mean... for 100$ CDN, I couldn't pass that
Anyhow... I hooked it up yesterday, and what a difference. My Kenwood sounds like Ashley Simpson compared to that JVC unit. The sound is much nicer, the features are awesome (compared to my Kenwood). So far I don't have any skipping issue and I did take some pretty bumpy roads
Then again, my Kenwood wasn't from their top-end line, so you guys might still be right when it comes down to Money-Money/Quality-Quality comparison.
