well, the first thing you did wrong was cutting into the factory wiring harness. I hope you know that you could have just spet the 15 bucks and bought the adapter harness for your new deck or whatever. You have obviously cut into something you shouldnt of. By best suggestion for you is to take it to a proffesional stereo shop,(not the dealer, will void any warranties on the car),and have them check it out. I wouldnt try to fix anything yourself beecause you can actually start to fry out a whole bunch of wires. Trust me, i ****ed up the whole electrical system in a previous car just from hooking up 1 or 2 wrong wires in a car. If this happens, be prepared to spend some major $$$$$$. So, my idea for you is go get it checked out first. If you already messed up the keyless entry, who knows what else you might screw up.

You could also buy the standard adaptor pieces, and reconnect your harness... might be worth the money to try it yourself first. Crutchfield carries all the parts you'd need...

Search for the loom you think did the damage to, search for any broken wire, then crimp it or them back together. Before reinstalling, check to see if you got the correct wire by trying to use you Keyless entry system to now enter the car.

I had the same problem but with my subs (but the power door locks also were shot while the crank was not spining). It turned out I blew a fuse that was for when the engine was not fired up, I forget what it was called though. I know that it was in the engine bay fuse box, it was sorounded by a yellow plastic casing and I had to use the fuse remover that is on the back of the storage box thingy below the dim switch. By the way, it was a tem amp fuse, I replaced the fuse and then everything worked fine again.

Best of luck,
Erik

edit: Sorry to lie but it wasnt actually my car that we had the problem on, that is what I discovered on my friends car but either way problem solved
