try www.edesignaudio.com their deadeners are great, and MUCH cheaper than most out there. they also have spray on product that works really well.

I'm ordering a few hundred bucks worth of stuff from them this week.

peel and seal

If you know/work for a shop, they will usually tell you to go and get peel and seal.
It comes in a 6inch by 25foot roll for about $12.00. You may have to add an extra layer, but I think it's easier to work with. The aluminum side won't cut you like the Stinger stuff does. It's not as pretty as dynamat, but it does the same thing.

basically these sound deadeners are asphalt(sticky side) and aluminum(shiny side) the main difference is the amount of asphalt.

i've had several people recommend edead over dynmat.... mainly b/c of price. not sure now, but edead used to be 1/2 the price as dynmat and was the sam or better

Read dynamat's site and they will tell you how bad brown bread is for sound deadening. I recommend fat mat @ www.fatmat.com Same stuff as dynamat but waaaaaayyy cheaper. I'm contemplating ordering their trunk kit and it's only 38 bucks which is well within my budget. I have some dynamat on my car but its too expensive to buy large rolls.

anything that adds mass to the vibrating panel will work as a sound deadener, just that some things are more efficient at it than others.

ED's subs are really nice, not too common, so they can stand out sometimes.

the deadener is as cheap as you'll find, and it works really, really well.

I bought my peal and seal at Lowes here in Hutchinson, KS for 12 bucks and some change. It's just as thick as Stinger's top of the line sound deadener. I've used the spray on stuff, and it was more mess than deadener.
