i can get $47 for the adapter and $47 for the module....but i heard theres like plans or something...and i only heard about a lifetime plan for $400 or something...i mean, i like everything about it...its just, i need to know about prices\money, etc.
ive had it im my car for about 6 months, i love it, but dont let there advertisment fool you, there r commercials. they just advertise other channels available but theres not a lot of em. its not a bad $13/month.

This should be helpful in your quest for information. I work for Crutchfield as a technical advisor and I would say that of the employees there 90% use xm and the other 10% use sirius. Though your HU is xm ready you should be able to go with a sirius tuner if you wish to. Both have their pros and cons, Sirius does have better sound quality on music due to the fact that they lower the amount of bandwidth used for talk radio and raise the amount used for actual audio ( music ). The prices are near the same now and the equipment is not much different either. I use the Delphi MyFi which is a portable unit that I can use in the car, at work, or on the go etc... You also may find that this is the best choice for you. I think it just makes more sense to be able to use something that you are paying for on a monthly basis anywhere. I hope this is helpful.

since the antenna cord is about nine thousand feet long, i just ran it under the door sills and it sits up on the back deck opposite my gps receiver. the vent mounts for the roady2 don't seem to play REAL well with our vents, but it is acceptable for the moment. i am going to tear the dash apart this weekend and run the power/antenna cables up through the dash and into the HVAC duct.
as for pricing, just go to www.xmradio.com. it's $13/mo and you can pay by month, qtr, half year (possibly? can't remember). anything beyond that you get into yearly plans which DO give you a discount but unless you know you're going to love it, i'd advise staying away.
the one thing that xm has going for it is terrestrial broadcasting. instead of being satellite only, they have what amount to signal repeaters on the ground that broadcast as well. so if you're around a bunch of skyscrapers and can't get satellite signals, there's still a chance of getting a repeated terrestrial signal.

we got XM at work before i got Sirius in my lancer. XM was ok but Sirius has more rock stations. they have the hardest metal station (Hard Attack) that alone makes Sirius the winner!
