new hu ~ w00t!

i recently bid a fond farewell to my beloved alpine cda-9830 (i worked a deal w/ my paint guy to give me some cash and paint my fiberglass enclosure ). well, here is my new baby.....

i spent a long time tuning it yesterday and it sounds amazing. i have a bit more tuning to do before i'm as happy as i was w/ the alpine...but it will get there.

It's got rotary nobs, flip-down face, and anti-skip...lucky.

I just got mine in (in the mail that is)today. It does have the proper ISO-DIN-J mounts for us right? This unit has a lot fewer mounting holes than my Excelon.

That manual is bordering on novel-sized too!

yep...i just swapped out the alpine chassis and installed the one for the eclipse. the only installation difficulty i had was tucking the abundance of wires behind the deck & getting the deck to slide back in place...of course that's probably b/c some idiot stuffed a subwoofer inside my dash.

and yes, the manual is insanely large!

congrats on your new deck...you'll love it! if you have any questions about tuning etc, feel free to pm me. i don't know if i'll be any help, but i'll try.
