lets see, where to start. well, this happend to me last week, i called a friend, he brought a slimjim he just happend to have lying around and we tried popping the lock, no good, i wound up scratching the glass but its not noticeable. anywho, pointless to invest 1.50 in a spare key, seeing that a spare key is on someone that isnt around, unless u buy one of those hide a key things from home depot, but i tried that and when i went drifting, lost it. um. hanger? wtf. next. best thing,if u knwo ur gunna have to spend money, is smash ur front windshield, under ur insurance its free replacement. i wouldnt touch any other part of the car, just tell them u hit osmething? cheapest way if thats what ur looking for. aslo i was looking on www.autoloc.com and they have a button u can hide on the outside of ur car. like behind the splash guard thats a remote unlock, it s like 30 bux, and prolly a good investment for all of you that are constantly calling AAA

all these sparekeys and spare keyless entry fobs are nice, but when im away or when the people who have the keys cant get to me. wtf is the point. i dont go around with 2 sets of keys, one in each pocket, unless........... heyy thats a great idea. but seriously is there a real way. not everyone locks their keys in the car near a pile of rocks to smash the windshield

2005+ guys aren't as lucky. A new spare will cost you $85, plus the keyless entry fob if you loose it.

I had a 1998 Galant that I copied the key and it would ONLY open the driver door and start the car. It wouldn't open the trunk, I couldn't click it twice to open all doors, and it wouldn't open the passenger door. It wasn't a copy of a valet key, it was of the original.

i have in 05 es and it is about 75-80.00 for a new key because of the electronic chip inside the key...which sucks means less money in my pocket for future mods.
