I've seen that alarm before, but never in action so I cannot comment on that part, but I heard that with that pager you have like a 1 mile radius to play with... and it tells you where the breach has occured... another nice feature.

Wants some good advice? Buy the best alarm money can buy, and keep a recipt or a bill of sale for everything you buy. And never take your ride in the hood for more then five minutes.

from what i understand...most alarms are pretty much the same (excluding viper, clifford, and other high end alarms). the real key is how clean the installation is done. i have a cheap alarm and it works....i know that cuz ppl are always waking me up by driving down my street with their system bumping.

Install price usually depends on options that the system installs with it such as starting engine, pop trunk, etc sometimes it costs more, but for an alarm that does almost everything under the sun (without a paging system) would cost me about 250 in Philly PA, from a well known dealer... just dont buy the junk from best buy, or if you do, dont let them install it... just a word to the wise!

get an AST ULTRA alarm. it has a two way communicator, learn mode, remote start and many other features. check out my profile for a pic of the communicator

EDIT 2:
this is the alarm i have, check it out, so many features. has a programmable shock sensor so you can set how hard you want the alarm to go off if something hits it.

i have a compustar on my lancer and my s10. never had any problems with it goin off for no reason. perhaps their shock sensor set to intense. as for the crime stopper, a local shop deals them and does more unit swaps cause the brain malfunctions. just my observations
