Anybody wired a sub? Easy?

I've decided that i need a sub. I dont'know where to start? Run the wires under the carpet? Any tips or instruction on doing so?

I'm thinking about infinity basslink.

Did you check in audio/security? Did you ?

I dunno personally how the firewall looks like inside an Evo 8, so I couldn't tell ya where to start. But I imagine you could always do like the rest of us have done and either drill a new hole, or find an existing grommet to shove the power wire through.

you need an amp too. run a search on google about installing a car stereo, it'll be more than helpful.

Couldnt' find anything under search.

As for the sub i was interested, it has a built in amp. This is more of an inexpensive setup and hopefully it'll serve my purpose

gtr how when you wire your subs, see if you can find a diagram to run them in a "series" its a special way to wire them giving you almost %50 more power out of your subs.

I was just going to plug in the two wires into my reciever.

Oh yeah forgot to mention, here is what's in my car right now.

Alpine CDA-9815
Front: Kenwood eXcelon KFC-X178 6-3/4" 2-way Speakers
Rear: Kenwood KFC-1789ie 6-3/4" 3-way Speakers

Just want some low volume bass and make use of the quick sub volume feature on the reciever. I want a decent radio and nothing crazy. I feel the factory amp is good enought for the speakers and a the Infinity bassline with the 1ch amp and woofer is an inexpensive good setup for my car

It's all my theory, i'm a stereo newbie.

Can't go too crazy, have car payments and need to save $ for mods

The evo is a pain to find a grommet to slide the wire through. Good Luck!

im pretty sure it's already wired in series..since it only has one speaker unless u have two of those and connect them in series, u can't really do anything to get more power out of it by itself
