need help

need help

im putting 2 type x alpine subwoofers in my lancer what kind of amp will i need to push these speakers and i was thinking isnt this too much for my car their rms is 1000w!!

THe sub RMS is meaningless. Speakers waste tons of power, they don't make any. That usually means the subs are cheaper, and the marketing dept has more to do with them than engineering.

What impedance are they, are they single or dual voice coil?

you will need something huge and reliable. Hifonics makes some mono amps at 1000w RMS @4 ohms and they are 1 ohm stable. you can find them on Ebay for pretty cheap ($200-250 range). My neighbor has one and it has proven itself over the last year.
