Insignia Audio

Has anyone heard of Insignia Audio? If so what are your impressions of it? It's supposedly made by JL Audio....

Maybe its made in the same factory in Korea as JL audio. If it was a JL product they would put their name on it.

I read on the internet that the Neon is really just a scaled down Mercedes S Class.

Insignia is a Best Buy owned company. It comes from all different manufactures. It might be made by JL Audio, it might not be. I work there and Insignia is the store brand.

Dual is an offshoot of Jensen. Almost all products come from Asia including almost everything JL. I'll be in China next week and can come home with my own brand of car audio equip if I wanted to. The majority of products on the market have no engineering invested by the "manufacturer", You just give the picture from the marketing dept on what will sell and a couple of weeks later you have it. This is why reputable brands are more reliable, they design performance into the product and try different things. Sometimes it isn't worth the cost (W7 or L7, must be the number 7) but it changes the way people think about designing and imporving product. I really curious to see when car manufacturers will wake up and we get square, triangular, octagonal, hexagonal pistons LOL.
