I Bought Pioneer Head Unit BUT

Took out the stock and all , bought the new wire harness, color matched all the colors that needed to be, and im down to the ground wire (all black) and i tried connecting it to all the screws and bolts behind where the head unit goes, i get a lil spark and the pioneer unit turns on for about 1/2 a second and then doesnt continue to power on?

What could be wrong? Our stock battery is 12volts correct? Because it says it requires 12 volts

1. Does it even attempt to power on at this point, or did it just power on for that 1/2 second? If it doesn't attempt to power on now, you may have gotten lucky and just blown the radio fuse. So first, check that.

2. I'm guessing you didn't unhook your negative cable from your battery before installation. You should always do that to avoid what I just mentioned in #1.

If it's not the fuse, it's hard to say what is going on without seeing it. I'm hoping there wasn't a dead short somewhere that has made your head unit extra crispy. Good luck man!

Got it .. the wires were touching the ground wire which wasnt letting it fully power up .. BestBuy customer service is great!
