Crsc on Kenwood 919

ok guys this is my problem.... with my raido i can crank it all the way up without any clipping but... when i change to the raido its alot more loud and sounds distorted a little but. but with my cd player its clear as day. i understand that the cd quality is alot higher but damn theres no way its that diffrent. my mids and highs still sound great wither way but its just that my sub seems to bottom out on the raido with the same songs that sound great on mp3.
so what is my question you ask?
what the hell is crsc? or would it help it reverse the phase? and or does anyone else have a better idea?
i really hope someone can help me because this is driving me NUTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

radio is limited bandwidth. if you have burned mp3s, maybe you know the difference in sampling rates?

192kbps is considered cd quality
128kbps is considered near cd quality
96kbps is considered better than radio
64kbps is considered radio quality

plus, with radio you have interference, fm sensitivity as a function of your headunit, and of course the limited bandwidth. radio will sound like **** compared to a cd. and the reason that bass is most effective is because the signal is much weaker, you need a strong signal with strong power to push that sub.

basically, the only advice i can offer is don't listen to the radio i never listen to the radio, only maybe softly when my mom is in the car so she doesn't have to listen to my music. but i wouldn't expect the radio to sound anywhere near as good as a cd, ESPECIALLY at higher volumes.

that is what i was thinking but at the same time before i sent it back to kenwood for a new brain it worked fine everything was = but not anymore i wonder if that could have anything to do with the new brain? because i swear to god it was all balanced before i got it back...but now its not... ya good idea about not turning on the raido... i guess thats why i got a H/U that would play mp3's.

IF ya made adjustments, did you try resetting everything to the factory settings?

Oh yea...CRSC is basically to keep multi-path noise reduced. It will temporarily switch your reception from stereo to mono to keep weird noise down.
