Hey, i just thought i would share pics of my new system with you guys. I just installed everything last week and i absolutely love it. First off, is my head unit. Its a Sony MP70. Its awesome!! Its fully motorized, with a cdrom style loading tray. I can change the display like 7 different colors, and the performance is great. its a 52watts x 4, 3 sets of preouts, built in EQ, and it plays MP3's which i absolutely love!!!! Now i can carry around 2 cd's instead of 20 . Its got a remote and a bunch of other little features, i just dont remember them all.

The subs are two Infinity Perfect 12's, with a 1200 watt Pyramid Amp. The amp isnt the greatest amp, but its good enough, these things BUMP HARD!! Ive never had a system before that hit so hard, and it sounds really nice, with clean, crisp bass.

Heres the best part...the deal i got. The head unit i bought from an eclipse club member (i had a spyder) for $200 shipped. thats an awesome deal cuz its only 2 weeks old (he sold the car) and goes for $400 new retail in stores, and $300 on ebay. Now for the greatest deal, the subs box and amp. I had bought an Infinity Basslink a while back for my spyder from a fellow socal3g member for $100 cuz i had such a small trunk, and i now i have a huge trunk, so i wanted to upgrade. I found a rich guy that lives on the beach here in socal (where apartments start at like a million) and he just upgraded from an older jeep to a new GTi. He wanted something small for the trunk, and i wanted something big, so he TRADED ME STRAIGHT UP his subs, amp, and box, for my $100 Basslink!!!!

damn bro...that's a bangin deal on those kappa's. i was thinking about 12.1s but i think i need a sub that can handle a little more power than those. does anything in your car rattle because of the bass?

 

yea, i got rattle for now, but i'll be taking care of that soon. its like the carpet area in the back keeps banging on the back glass. that basically the only thing bothering me for now, but im gonna take care of that in a day or two.

 

oh yah, and while on the subject of taking care of rattle...if anyones needs some very cheap stuff to deaden sound and rattle, go to wal mart and buy some poly fill. its like $7 bux a box, and it'll take you from 2-4 boxes to "do" the car depending on where your rattling from and where you want to put it. hell of a lot cheaper than dynamat, and worth a try. i know people who have used it, and i say it works good enough...dynamat is over rated.
