Kenwood KDC-X789 Demo Mode?!?!?

So...here I am with yet another problem with my setup. When I got my Hu there was an orange flyer taped to the top of it in the box. It detailed how to take the HU out of demo mode. Of course that paper got lost before the install. I figured no sweat. It'll be in the instructions. Wrong. It is, but the way its listed in the instruction book doesn't frickin work. I've tried everything I can think of. Anybody got a Kenwood KDC-X789?

hahaha, thats funny....but on my pioneer it had demo mode, the way to turn off was to hold the function button and it brung you to a second set of options...if the orange flyer is not correct, just give a call to kenwood tech support.

Yeah, alot of electronics come with a "demo" mode. Even my Philips TV had one when you held down both volume buttons for 5 seconds. As mentioned above, might have to call tech support on that one...

hit the menu button. Then on the am/fm/cd control knob you press it up or in(i cant remember). You have to do this all in standby mode. But you scroll up and their should be a "Demo-ON" then push the am/fm tuner in or to the side like you are changing the channel. It will say then "Demo-Off"

simple searching
