OK, just wiring up my HU, I have the blue on the female OEM harness which is the antenna power. But my HU harness doesn't have one of these, should I just wire this up to the Red ACC wire?

Hold up, just looking at my Pioneer wiring diagram and I have a Blue/White, which on the diagram is entitled:

"System control terminal of the power amp or auto antenna relay control unit (max 300 ma 12 V DC"

Am I correct to assume that's what I want to hook up to the blue on the mitsu harness?

no, the blue with white is for external/factory amps. the blue on the mitsu harness is for power antenna

Yes we do have power antennas.

I hooked it up as I described above and it works, but thanks for the input anyway

power antennas is where the antenna physically moves up and down when the radio is on. there is also amplified signaled antennas, but they only need the solid blue to the solid blue wire(antenna wire), and yes, if you dont have a solid blue wire, the blue with white also may subsitute as power. i dont have an amped antenna, so i didnt hook mine up. still works perfect.

Bumpr for this slightly old thread... I just got a new JVC radio (which of course came with a harness) and I picked up a Mitsu harness from Car Toys (Metra part 07-001 or whatever it's supposed to be and is listed over and over on this board).

Anyway, the JVC CD player harness has "Illumination" listed as Orange w/White Stripe and does not have "Dimmer" listed so I'm assuming it doesn't have a dimming feature. By reading the Metra diagram the Mitsu "Illumination" should be Orange only but it also has a Orange w/White Stripe but it's listed for the "Dimmer". Which way should I go? I'm assuming I go Orange w/White on the cd harness to Orange on the Mitsu harness. This might be a dee dee dee moment but forgive me.

Also, the JVC CD harness has Power Antenna listed as Blue w/White stripe and the purchased Mitsu harness has Antenna listed as Blue. I don't think my 06 MR has a powered antenna but I dunno, do I still hook them up -> Blue w/White on the cd harness to Blue on the Mitsu harness?

Thanks for any help given!

(pretty sure I believe with AngryJonnie because I think the antenna is FM-amplified or something). Anyone have anymore input before I start wiring this thing tomorrow AM?

I have this EXACT same question on the exact same head unit.

I want to amp my Antenna signal, what do I hook the solid blue wire up to to do this?

Otherwise your signal is crap, and it has been before for this reason.

I have searched and I guess that this is the only way to go...

blue/while - amp turn on - 12v switched with radio - can be use to power amp, antenna, or both

blue - power antenna - 12v switched with tuner - can ONLY be used to power antenna (amp would only be on with FM/AM if you connected it with this)
I will hook up the Mitsu BLUE #3 wire to the Head units Blue/White wire, that must be it.
