People with systems in their Lancers?

I know I have the force in my lil OZ how many other people out there have systems in their Lancers? If you have serious bass in the trunk has anyone found out how to stop the rear bumper from rattling? I know I can't be the only one?

First off...are you sure it's your bumper and not your license plate? License plate rattle is a pretty common problem. Don't get me wrong, I don't even know how much bass you're running, but it seems odd that the bumper would make a sound before the license plate...and the bumper's pretty much all fiberglass and plastic, isn't it?

focal must be a dynamat salesman. Hobie has a point in that fiberglass and plastic doesn't resonate well so it may very well be the license plate and/or frame.

nah, not a salesman. but it basically solved a lot of problems for my M. only bad side is it weighs a lot cuz it's basically lead. Anyways, if it's your frame/plate thats rattling just make something to put between the frame/plate and the boot lid. shouldn't be that hard to solve.

No kidding that stuff is heavy...Pop's Accord has it in the doors...eek. Not to mention expensive. I hear they use it to deaden the sound in the space shuttle. Hehehe...but in space no one can hear you scream...Ok...getting off topic. BACK ON TOPIC!

I'm running 4 10W3s 300 watts RMS a piece. I've already got 45lbs of mat in my trunk so I'm not weighting the car down anymore. It is definitely coming from the bumper though I've already got foam in behind my license plate. I think its just getting into the body so F*** it. Not like I can hear it over all that bass anyway.

I think I lost maybe 2 secs with the stuff in the back. It would come out if I was planning on racing though. Plus I weigh in at a cool 150 so its not enough extra weigh to do anything.

dynamat it

I used the spray type dynamat and it saved me alot of weight. It works good too. My bumper was rattling too and I know it wasn't the license plate cause I took it off and it was still rattling like crazy back there. I'm running 2 15" massive audio dmx's off of an american bass 2000 watt digital amp. I swear there's so much bass the lancers windshield flexes about a quarter of an inch. Anyways back to the subject, I dynamatted my bumper and license plate and it worked for me ( the spray stuff of course).
