Speaker Amp
Speaker Amp
I have pretty much completed my audio set up in my '05 lancer oz. I've got 2 boston G2's(10 inch) that are powered by a kenwood amp with dynomat and whatever else I could find to use to dampen. But recently I've put in some Type S in the font and back with components but those are not powered by an amp. When I first put in the speakers I really haven't noticed too big of a difference (at least not for the price). Just wondering if i hooked up an amp to my door speakers it would show a difference or not. My deck is a Panasonic CQ model which also help alot with adjusting the sound of my subs.
Heck yeah, they'd make a world of difference! I ran aftermarket speakers with my Alpine HU-24w RMS, then I got a Kenwood 4-ch and only powering them with 50 rms. WORLD of difference! You'll definitely appreicate the difference... Only thing is, with a 2 amp setup you're pushing the car's alternator to the max. Find a low-amperage amp to run. I looked at Kenwood, Alpine, and Sony. The MTX 6004 I had was WAY too much (80 amps) for the car's electrical system.
you will love the sound of it, just dont get more wattage than your speakers max is or you will have a fun time balancing out everything
i have a MTX 4004 speaker amp, and it alone will dim the lights a good bit :/
