I'm pissed and I have no more idea
Make sure you have a good as in quality power and ground to the amp. IF you grounded to the body in the rear, make sure the contact area is clean of paint. The higher power side will induce more noise than the speaker wires do, in general. Given the advent of grounding kits and seen results it is fair to say the grounds suck in the first place so that is key. I hope you are using at least an 8 gauge for the ground too. It is just as important as the power cable.
Does your car have daytime running lights? If so that is the problem and that is why the hiss goes away when the lights are on. The way the daytime running lights work is when the headlights are not on a high speed switcher turns the daytime lights on and off very rapidly so that they are not as intense as when on contantly as in nightime. It is the switching on and off rapidly that is giving you your hiss. Go to www.autosound.com and hit the forum link. Ask how to fix in David Navones (sp?) troubleshooting section as I have forgotten how to fix. Been too long since I was installing.

1. Change your RCA (I don't use RCA with that amp)
2. Change your ground (already done)
3. Change your speaker wires (already done)
4. Make sure no power lines are near the speaker wires (I striped down the entire back of the car to make sure no power lines were near. So I guess I can say "already done")
5. Change your amp (already done)
6. Change your speakers (when the speakers are hook directly to the HU I have no problem)
So here is my question. Can the factory wiring be at fault. Should I run my own wires from the HU to the amp? I have noticed that factory wires are all mixed up with a bunch of other wires which are probably powering something else in the car.

have you changed the car yet? hehe
Oh to repeat myself, if you tried everything and are sure you have good connections, then put a noise filter on it!
Think about it, an alternator at idle creates a electrical field approximately 5 ft. in diameter. It's not that easy to eliminate all the noise in an electrical system, that is why they make chokes.

also considering upgrading some of the ground wires in the engine bay. some people are selling "grounding kits" for a ridiculously high price, but you can do it yourself for much cheaper. upgrade the ground wires from the chassis to battery. most of them are 10 or 8 awg, try running those as 4 awg. i do this quite often since i install stereos everyday. doesn't always work, but in this case where you have tried everything else, then it might be the cause. this will also help if it is the drl's that are giving the noise since 2 of the ground wires come from the headlight ***'y.
How many grounds are there, and where are they. I know the location of one ground wire in the engine bay and that's about it. So if anybody could take a picture of their engine bay and circle the aproximate location of those wires, I really would appreciate.
