Question Any interest in...

... a thread with a step by step "How To" on making custom fiberglass enclosures?

I've got an FG job coming up, and if people want, I'll take pics as I go. It's not on a lancer, but you'll get the idea. If there's no real interest in the subject, I'll just go about my business without the pics, up to you guys.

West system? I'm not quite sure I understand your lingo.

But just in case anyone was wondering, the install will be in an older Nissan 300ZX. The owner wants a sub, and to retain the ability to store his T-tops, so I'll be fabricating a sealed enclosure in the space between the outer fenderwall, and the inner hatch area on the drivers side.

Don't actually expect the thread till some time next week, since I'm only working on it after work, and on weekends. This is really just a feeler thread.

The reference is made to the epoxy resin you might be using. I have done some fibreglass work myself.

Well, since so many people think I'm some manner of golden god, I officially declare myself "Uber Audio Moderator"... now follow me, and I will lead you out of Egypt, and into the land of custom fiberglass. (some time next week that is... still gotta take the pics, and ya know, do the job)

Just for everyones reference, this thread will be about using fiberglass to make an enclosure... not using fiberglass to "inhale fumes" I understand that it was a joke, but fiberglass resin, and MKEP (the hardener) are very dangerous chemicals, proper safety precautions should always be used.

I am actually getting a custom fiberglass box built for my lancer this weekend. Should be a really sweeeet set up. Gonna fit nice and tight behind my wheel well in the trunk and not take up nearly as much room as a wooden box would to have the correct inner air volume for the sub. I might try to get some pictures of the install process if i can.

(edit) Wow i just became evolving after over a year on this board!
