Speaker upgrade 2008 with RF / Navi

So I thought the 650 watt Rockford Fosgate system would be good enough but alas it is not.

I want to upgrade the front/rear speakers and was wondering if anybody else had done that while still using the stock amplifier. It looks like the amp uses an internal crossover for the front tweeters so I don't think I would be able to use an external crossover from aftermarket components.

Anyone know if it is possible to get a full signal to the front doors with the RF amp?

How bad is it to just drop in the new components and rely on RF's crossover?

Also, does the Navi have RCA preouts? The picture I found here of an Outlander's Navi looks like this is a big negative. The rest of the thread which shows how to hook up a backup camera to the Nav can be found here.

Well I figured I would answer my own questions in case anyone is interested.

I went ahead and installed Polk DB6501's and DB651's. I did not use the external crossover with the components and it sounds fine. The Polks don't get as much bass as the RFs but the sound stage is much better. The RF front midrange drivers are 2 ohms so the Polks are also a bit softer with the stock amplifier.

The Navi unit does not have RCA preouts and there is no way to get a full singnal to the front speakers without installing an aftermarket amplifier.
