Dynamat
Dynamat
Is it a hard process to have the trunk Dynamatted? I have two "10 subs and the trunk is making a whole heap of noise, plus the plastic at the back window behind the rear seats is bouncing into the rear window
. I had to place cloth inbetween the space to stop it from beating the window, does anyone eles have this issue or know how I can resolve it.

I used Minimal expanding foam is small cracks and openings in my trunk. I filled in some of the braces and some areas that there was openings. It helped make the trunk a little more sturday plus I hate the look of the bare Dynamat all over the place.
Dynamat (or comparable) isn't whatcha need to quiet down the rattling - you need to use some actual physical bracing (like the expanding foam.)
Dynamat is used to add weight to a substrate that rings or resonates.
You've got rattling -- which is different from ringing.
We want to stiffen up the rattling parts, not make them heavy
Try 'Great Stuff' or any closed-cell foam that you can wedge between the offending pieces of metal.

Thanks for all of the info, i'm going to Home Depot today to check it out. Is that stuff hard to remove if necessary? And the shop that installed the system told me I need to dynamat the trunk, does that mean he doesn't know what he is talking about or he's trying to squeeze more money out of me?
Yes he is wanting to squeeze money out of you. I have had alot better luck with the expanding foam in all the cars I have built and worked on. And were talking cars in the 170db plus that we used it on to brace and fill in certain spots.
Just in your application make sure to use "Minimal" expanding or else it will make your trunk look like a fat chicks thigh.

I'm raising the BS flag on 170db.
There are few people in the world who do 170db, even fewer in America, and you're not one of them.
