system help needed

ok so i dont have pics not but just the other day i hooked up a system to my car and the sub is not beating hard at all..it just barely hits enough that when you put your hand by it you feel vibration. i believe i hooked everything up correctly and i tried switching between postive and negative from the sub to the amp. im running one 10" alpine type r sub with a mrd-m300 amp. im not sure how exactly to set the amp but i was able to get it to a setting i knew it wwoulld work and it had the same output. also the cd player is a jvc. but the rca cables are hooked up, the power is hooked up, the remote is connected to amp and crossed one wire in the dash that i know is the right one and the ground is good. any help?
EDIT: solved problem but posting pics anyways

I had a friend with the same problem. He switched out his RCA cables and bingo! Also... if you're not sure how to wire up an amp you should pay a shop $50 and have them do it the right way. Good luck Bro!

had the exaact same problem..turned out my sub was toast..did u buy the sub new?

check your same set-up with a different sub that you know works..i spent about 2 hours checking and re-checking everything before figuring out it was the sub..

My guess is the "SUB" control on the HU isn't but at zero...maybe the gain control is at zero too. Good luck!

you could have the Amp on HFP instead of LFP Ibelive that correct but the crossover on you amp is what I'm talking about. How do you have the amp set up?? Bridged??

ok well i fixed the problem it turned out that it just needed some amp settings fixed which turned out to be really easy after messing with the amp for awhile. i just had to mess with the frequency settings and such and it started beating hard as hell haha thanks for all the help and i added a pic to the first post just to show it off
