Here are some navi choices from Crutchfield they (don't offer Rockford navi), a place that I trust & that has decent deals:
http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...=182350&tp=144

Similar Rockford sub:
http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...5P1L110&tp=112

Really good 4-way Sony 6.5" speakers (don't have Rockfords, which are 2-ways):
http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...8GTX1640&tp=95

Rockford amp:
http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...5P5002P&tp=115

JVC unit = $790
Sub = $150
4 Sony Speakers = $240
Amp = $400
Total = $1580

If Mitsu's deal is $2,000 + INSTALL, then you save $420 if you can install yourself. The speakers are much better quality than the Rockfords that they offer. If you got it installed at, lets say Circuit City, it would cost $75 for the amp, $70 for the speakers, about $50 for the head unit, + wiring. Bring total to $1775 + wiring.

You're pretty much comparing apples to oranges. If I had to do it over, I would probably go all aftermarket. You have a lot more flexibility that way and can defintely wind up with a much better system.

Some things to consider though.

The JVC unit has a much smaller screen and I don't think its a touchscreen. It also won't have bluetooth or steering wheel control integration (without extra hardware/installation). It definitely won't have other OEM integration features like handling settings for your windshield wipers, door locks, or displaying the HVAC status. I would also check to make sure you can still have FAST key without the stock navi.

The RF speakers up front are components up front and are possibly better sounding than those you chose.

You really should get a 5 channel amp since the internal amp on the JVC unit is gonna be way underpowered.

The OEM RF sub is custom fitted to the side of the trunk so it takes up hardly any space. With the aftermarket one, you'll have much less usable trunk space.

Lastly, Crutchfield has a pretty high markup. There are plenty of other places on the nets where you can get the same stuff MUCH cheaper. Just google the model number.

^ Those were not for me, just some quick searches on Crutchfield so the OP could compare his options. Crutchfield is not the best deal, but is better than non-sale/full retail pricing found at local electronic stores. eBay is the best deal, but not necessarily the best place to buy, even though I have yet to have any issues. I though, already have my aftermarket system awaiting to be installed in a new MR, whenever that gets here.
My line up:
head unit:
http://support.jvc.com/consumer/prod...2&archive=true
amp:
http://www.clarion.com/us/en/product...294762631.html
2 subs:

4 speakers:

Also will be purchasing an Optima Yellow Top

as a car audio sales associate......**** ROCKFORD FOSGATE
as a former owner of the rockford fosgate system in my gts
**** ROCKFORD FOSGATE
lol the screens nice tho
i got that

p.s. the rockford sub doesnt have low enough frequencies to play most notes in songs
whats the point of a sub that doesnt play lower frequencies.
and the factory amplified system chooses when it wants to be loud and when it wants to quiet down its retarded.
im taking out all the speakers from doors and getting Polk Audio
and i got an infinity sub in the trunk to replace stock sub.
also amping the polk speakers
but i will be getting 2 JL audio W6's and 2 mtx 3000w thunder elite amps.
