ahhhhhh right up my ally bro. i work at circuit city as a car audio sales specialist. go with the the pioneer dehp6000ub......this is part of the new line they put out its very slick and the audio tunability is amazing. the eclipse is an old model weve had for a long time. its big and bulky and i personaly hate it

Just from personal experience... the Pioneer I had made a high pitched squealing sound when it was installed. Guys at the Circuit City I bought it from basically said oh well... there's nothing we can do. So I got a top of the line Sony Xplod & sold the Pioneer head unit. The sony is much nicer.

depends on what your looking for. Personally I would buy the pioneer. I own two pioneers that are in my sisters and fathers car, and I had a panosonic in my old car. the Pioneers are very nice units. Now if you were able to get your hands on a Eclipse CD3000 or a CD4000 I would tell you to jump all over it. But you will never find either sitting in any of the stores believe me i know i've been looking. also if you own an ipod get the pioneer and then get a ipod cable it is very nice and much easier to use compared to any other brand that we(circuit City) carry.

thats a old eclipse unit, but I would def go with it.
Eclipse is the Best head unit brand. Have their 2005 model with the 8v output.

I have bought two Pioneers and will buy another when it's time. I'm using the 7800mp and love it.

This is what I ended up getting for nearly the same price that I paid at Circuit City (bought it on eBay). It's been working absolutely fine & has no high pitched whining & has a lot of input options, including blue tooth. It fits the interior of the car as well. I've never had any problems w/the Xplod products that I've bought. And like I've said I'm talking about my personal experience.

I had a Sony for one month and it always overheated when in operation longer than an hour. On any longer trips, we had no cd player! So we returned that **** and got an Alpine...3 yrs later, the lancer is sold and the cd player lives on in my Civic coupe! LOL
