Sound system okay?
Sound system okay?
So I've been researching sound systems and I'm wondering if this set up is going to work. This is what I have so far is:
Pioneer HU
Pioneer iPod Adapter Do I need this?
Pioneer Bluetooth Adapter Do I need this too?
PAC Steering Wheel Adapter Will this work?
Pioneer Amp
Pioneer Sub
Pioneer Speakers
I'll also be using the Metra Dash Kit to install it, and possibly the wiring harness if the Metra one is better. Is that set up going to be okay and compatible? I don't use Satellite radio so I don't need the adapter for that. The current sound sytem will be taken out and replaced with everything above if this works out. I'm mainly wondering if all of this will be able to connect to each other and if there are any changes I should make. For the steering wheel, I'm mainly looking to be able to change the volume since the screen is touchscreen. Hope that's enough information. Thanks in advance!

iPod and BT adpaters: you dont NEED them, unless you want to use specifically an ipod, or you want to use BT through this radio. If youre just looking form some AUX in feature for an MP3 player, get an IP-Bus cable for that radio.
PAC Unit:should work, but I suggest going to an actual audio shop and consulting them first and also letting them do at least that part of the install.
Amp and Sub: you have to specify how many subwoofers you will be getting. This will then determine what kind of wattage you are looking at and at the same time determine what ohm load your amp will need to support. the number of subwoofers is very crucial!!!
Speakers:If they are for the front, I highly suggest spending a bit extra money and going with a component setup instead of coaxial. You will get much richer sound and better midbass. If for the back, you're fine. Also, if you plan on amping the speakers, even in the future, make sure they have a high RMS wattage tolerance, maybe around 75 - 100 watts. You can buy these now, but if you want to amp them, you will probably have to buy new speakers due to only 50 watts RMS handling capability
hope this helps!
