amp crapped out?
i just did an install on my lancer..i installed headunit, amp and subs in one day and everything was fine til the next morning.
i get in the car and i notice the "bump" was gone..so i check out the amp and subs and the amp seemed to be on but the subs werent pumping anything at all..
i checked all connections, the rca's seem to be fine on both ends and i reconnected the subs to the amp to make sure the connections were right...but no luck
anyone got any ideas? i USED to kick the crap out of the amp..it got hot and all and it stopped from time to time probably from the heat but that's before. recently (past 2 months) i havent really pushed the amp or the subs..im gonna check tomorrow to see if there is any signal from the speaker outlets on the amp..
what do u guys think?? it's not like i pushed the amp or the subs...it was fine one tiem i got in the car and it's not working the next.

It might be your fuse. You amp should not just go off from time to time. Mine would cut out before but it was the fuse I was running to much power for the 8 gauge wire went up to 4 with a larger fuse and I have been good ever since.

hank, i will do that too. but it's kinda weird if both of them wires from the subs fell off.
Puerto, my fuses are good. since the amp turns on, it's not the fuses that are blown. if the problem is the amp, it might be some internal problem cause i was kinda pushing it,i put in a 25A fuse intead of the recommended 20A fuse and i was pushing 680 watts at 2ohm bridged. o btw, my amp model is Alpine MRV T707 thx guys, ill do some more investigating the next couple of days
