Custom Trunk!

lmao i know what you guys are thinking
oooo look he has another idea that hes not gonna end up doing
lmao well this i plan on doing all i need is some wood and some fabric
and maybe some LED strips

here it goes

well i was planning on fiberglass but frankly i dont have enough time to do this so i will use a regular dual twele inch enclosure and i will place a piece of wood in front of i that cover the entire middle hole in the trunk to act as a wall so to speak.
then the spare tire will be left and the stock cover will be removed.
i will elevate a piece of wood to cover the entire middle area of the trunk and then i will cut a mitsubishi logo into it and fill it in with plexiglass.
then this will be lined with blue LED stripping so it will iluminate blue
the hinges will be installed in order for access to the spare
then on each side where it dips in will be a piece of wood acting as a wall
the left side will me my 4 channel amplifier and it will be sunken in and blue LED strips will again be placed around it
on the right there will be 2 or 3 power capacitors that will illuminate blue
but once i have my mono block amplifier these will be moved to a new location in the trunk.
basically this will be a zero wire install
you will see absolutely no wiring and i mean that
all i need now is to go pick the wood up
and then i am set to start
but heres the "MAP" i drew out for it
lol its 3:22 and i was laying in bed thinking about this and i had to atleast draw a diagram so i did and i wanted to share
but of course install pics will be in order
also im contemplating what color to upholster the wood
i was thnking either white or black
they would both look amazing

heres the pic

I was going to try this, mounting the amp under the logo and illuminating it, but I didn't want to remove the spare tire and I couldn't fab a good box to hold the amp that would fit in the tire, so I said forget it

I hope you really do this because maybe it will compell me to do it when im done fiberglassing and stuff

my advice: get one big cap instead of 3 smaller ones. it will save money in all that wire and those ring terminals you have to buy, and will look better in my opinion! other than that, cant wait to see final pics!

oh and another thing, if you get a regular dual 12" box, chances are it will be too deep to still gain access to your spare tire, unless you push the box into the car and take out the back seat haha

ohhh ok well if you are electrically handy, you could always CAREFULLY open up the cap and replace the red LEDs with blue ones haha or the rd LCD screen with a blue one, if you could find one.

oh and power acoustics (i think) makes a real nice like 12 farad cap, expensive, but is all blue and is about the size of a small amplifier. I think that would look awesome on the other side of the trunk, sitting opposite the amp.

Are you going to install a second battery. It's alway better to have that than a cap. I have a 20 farad installed and second battery. The cap was for my old system but I thouht of adding to my current system since I the bass sounded cleaner more responsive. It could work both ways.
