This is a seriously good writeup. I will continue watching. I plan on doing this exact same thing to my 09 GTS one day.

ok i only have a small update cause im waiting on one more part. apparently the factory amp has 8 outputs and my 3-sixty.1 only has 6 so i had to order the JL clean sweep sigal summing interface so i can sum the outputs for the tweeters and front imputs. hopefully that will be here by my next day off. also i had to move my tap in location to after the factory amp cause even though this is taking forever i can wait aound for a CAN bypas for the aftermarket. so yeah the system is still in progress but im out of school for winter so i will have more time to work on it.

here is where i tapped into the factory lines

would any speaker fit in those door openings without making custom rings.

Im trying to do something less intese and quick on my wifes car.

I would like to just buy speakers and mount them. Is it possible and what size fits

I had to cut the fronts and put 1/2 inch spacers to fit my kappa perfects, because those speakers are F***in huge. The back fit with a 1" spacer... I would pick some up.. 6 1/2 is the front and rear. If you don't want to do any cutting get 4 1" spacers. You will probably have to cut the plastic rings on the door panels that surround the speaker.
