this is why you shouldnt do this stuff yourself. the guy selling those 15s probably knows youre a newb and theyre probably blown or something.

I got the 15s today, I have them facing up since the box is just a tad too big to fit them facing the back of the trunk, u think I should get a custom box? would it sound better if they were put facing horizontally

yeah in a 4-door sedan with the system in the trunk, its optimum for the subs to be facing towards the trunk a.k.a. back of car

Yout think a custom box can be made for the subs small enough(top to bottom) for them to fit in facing the trunk?

you need to build a new box from scratch. your drawing isnt necessarily the way to look at it either. if you build the box too small, the sub will not really function properly. you cant just say "oh let me get 15s cuz theyre loud but I want trunk space, too" you cant do that. its either quality sound the right way or trunk space. or you could be like every other newb out there with a ****ty system who thinks its da bomb AND has trunk space.

to power 4 door speakers, you need a 4-channel.....to do it properly and have it sound right.

Yea Ima buy a 4 Channel, anyways, Ima just forget about trunk space, I dont need the best system out of everyone that has 15"s, it sounds nice as it is but I want them facing the back as its apparent its better like that. I can probably google the recommended cubic feet for the box but does it have to be a "Box"? Can I build some shape like a square but that the sides where the subs are are bigger than the back. I forgot what thats called now. They are in a small box and u can hear that they dont pound as hard as they could, especially for the stats of the subs.

My question, does the enclosure "have to be" a perfect box(rectangle)?

The 2 T1s are just laying there.

Cellphone Pics so their not that high quality

What a shame though, that 2 channel amp was just like that one so woudl have looked pretty nice back there.

the box can be any shape you want or need to fit into the trunk. just make sure its the correct inside volume. i suggest going ported if you want loud.

my system is still for sale lol

haha i wouldnt try building your own box......

and a 2 channel amp would only give you 2 channels of audio, not 4 channels. you wont have balance and fade controls, only one or the other with the 2-channel
