sub comparison

Ok i have a question for those with experience with theses subs. I currently have 2 10" Infinity Reference subs and am looking to upgrade. How does 1 10" Infinity Perfect hold up to 2 10" references? the problem i've been having with the reference is that they bottom out so easily. i've heard 2 12" perfects up front but not just one 10" perfect..so if anyone knows how one 10" perfect compares to 2 10" references, plz reply! thx.

Um no you will lose some piston area but the perfects are much better IMHO why dont you try an IDQ 12"(<150 and a bad **** sub) or a crystal cmp from souddomain (on sale but need 300-500 clean watts and that thing will be LOUD!) What amp do you have?

If you are running the one sub off same amp you were running two off of, probably will not sound as good. The perfects are awesome subs, don't get me wrong, and they walk on the reference series, but one sub will not sound as good as two. You should always go with a pair in my opinion. I figure the problem you are having is that you probably don't have enough power at hand to run two perfects , nore do ya have the $$ the buy two of them. If I were you, either save, and get two perfects, and a stronger amp, or downgrade from the perfects, and get two less expensive subs better then your reference series.

thx for the replies, MP5, ive been looking into the IDQ's also, but i am going with 10" strictly for trunk space reasons.

mboza, that's what a lot of people say, i was just wodnering if the one perfect sub would make up for 2 10" references..i guess ill have to check it out myself.

and for an amp, my alpine amp blew so i will be getting a new amp if i get a new sub(s). im looking into the JBL 600.1 or 300.1, depending on what im getting or some decent used amp.
