Help me wire this Headunit

Im confused now. I wired the head unit with the mitsubishi harness and theres some wires on both sides that are being unused.

I couldnt find out what the wires so on the headunit side, but the harness has color coeds on the package. i decided to just match up the colors and im left with a blue/white stripe and lightblue and on the harness is orange / black stripe.

so now what? the head unit is a sony cdx-m800

thanks for the help in advance

If you did not buy a harness that connects directly to the factory harness, go to best buy, etc...crutchfield and get one.

All you have to do is match the colors up. It is really easy.and dont worry about extra wires on the harness adapter that you purchased, they are probably the illumination wires that your new stereo won't use.
