Hey guys i just bough a 2010 DE and i was told that the car comes pre wired for everything. I noticed i have a plug in the trunk which looking like its for subwoofer. I dont know if the wiring is all done and i just have to splice the wires and attach it to my SUb or so i need to install a Amp first. Any help any one experience such a thing.

 

the wiring in the trunk is for the cars that came with an OEM amp, the wiring may be there but IIRC some evo owners have attempted to install the oem RF amp and sub into an evo that didnt come with them and they would not work, as some of the wiring inside the car isnt the same between the cars with subpackage and the cars without.

 

ThAnkz for the update I tried to just install the sub and connect it but no luck. There's no power going into the sub. But when I chk it with a multi meter I see reading on these wires. Dunno y.

 

is the remote wire going to your amp? and are your fuses good in the amp?

 

Is there any way to enable and connect the subwoofer plug in the trunk? I put a multimeter to the 4-plug sub connector located in the trunk...and it is dead.
I would prefer to use this as opposed to tapping into the speaker outs behind the radio.
